I’m a native Oregonian who lived in Rome, Italy from 1982 to 1992 as an English language teacher. During my time there, I also studied Italian and married an Italian, with my two children being born in Rome. My daily life in Italy led to my fluency in the language.

I completed the Italian Language program at Società Dante Alighieri in Rome in 1983 and graduated from Portland State University.

Since returning to Portland in 2000, I’ve been tutoring Italian privately and teaching students at various institutions, including PCC, Riverdale High School, NW Academy, and Nike, Inc. among others.
